The Japan Corona Virus Ruined my Birthday
Hello Earthling!
You may have heard about all of the things going on because of the CV (No, not “curriculum vitae”)
I wanted to give an update on our situation and all. And, though the title is a bit of an exaggeration, it’s also not far from the truth. But I mean, there are people who have actually had their lives ruined because of the corona virus. It is a bit scary, but all things considered, we are safe and prepared for it if anything escalates any further.
Here is what is currently happening in Japan because of the corona virus. Yes, Schools are closed for the entire month of March. And yes, people are freaking out about the toilet paper. But, the “world will run out of TP” thing is a myth. Stop buying more then you need. It does more damage to the economy when you freak out. Most TP is not even made in China, so chill.
The best thing to do right now is to stay calm and avoid the general mass of people. You can still go outside. Just try not to get on a plane/bus or go to big parties. Be sure to keep clean and don’t beath in people’s coughing.

However, if things had gone to plan, my husband and I would be on Ishigaki Island, which is the most southern, secluded, and tropical of all of Japan’s Okinawa Islands, snorkeling and getting way too sunburnt. But, alas, we had to cancel everything for our (and everyone’s) safety.

But, either way, time passes and now I am one year older! 25 years old now.
It’s crazy to think about all of the dreams that I thought I would have had accomplished by now. It’s a strange feeling, but I suppose most everyone feels this way around this age. We all just figured in our late teens that mid-20s would just be . . . different. Hard to describe, really.
Either way, I am reassured that I at least am not dwelling on things and just sitting still.
Perhaps my biggest determination right now, besides the GIGANTIC project of relaunching my current comic series, is beginning the storyboard of my next series. This story is what was my FIRST inspiration when it came to becoming a manga/comic creator, and it is the closest thing to my heart. It came before Maiden in Disguise, though it happens afterwards chronologically. And, I promised myself so many years back that I would at least begin working on it when I turn 25.
So, I will!
In at least as much (or, as little) as is realistically possible; to see it slowly come to reality as all things do.
Last year was a big one, though! From my first ever successful Kickstarter, to publishing another book, stepping out of my comfort zone with YouTube, to moving to Japan. It was stressful, but awesome! ????
Despite the year starting off with some unexpected pains and mishaps (I literally fainted at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve), there’s nothing that’s going to stop me. And, though my optimism is easily dashed at times, I’m doing my darnedest to keep my hopes up that all of the work we’re doing right now will pay off later this year.
Love you all so much, Family, Friends and Fans alike. You all mean so much to me. ????
Please keep safe and Stay Strange,
-Bitsy
