Rose City Comic Con 2018
Whew!
It’s already been a couple weekends, but I’m still exhausted. In a good way, though!
Being a bit of a hermit in my own home, going out to interact with hundreds to thousands of people isn’t generally my cup of tea, but sometimes you just gotta do it. Rose City Comic Con was an absolute blast, and something I hope to go to each and every year from here on out. Watch the video to see what I mean!
Some highlights from the weekend:
- May have a potential sponsorship with Wacom coming soon
- Met many more cool people and traded art for art
- Found out we were less than half a mile from Patrick Rothfuss the entire time
- Gave John Barrowman one of my Space Rocks shirts and we both yelled “Space Rocks!” together
- Michael Rooker gave me a signed picture of him as a zombie
And, of course, my butt touched David Tennant and he now has one of my shirts (though I didn’t get to see him wear it):
Anywho, Rose City Comic Con was an overall success. I didn’t sell out by any means, but I did sell much more than I expected too. It definitely was more difficult to make an impression, with this being my biggest con to date, and the fact that there were so many larger competitors there. However, I’m super happy that I got all of the attention that I did, and even more so that the stories I write are making an impact on more and more people.
Hope you guys enjoy the video!
Until next time . . .
