Feature Friday #3: “The Lostland” by JM Henry
One of the things I did not expect when becoming a comic artist was that I would make friends. I’ve never been the most social individual in the world, and as such my group of in-person friends has always been small. For the longest time I was always just “the girlfriend.”
But, now there are a few people that I consider friends of whom I’ve never actually met in person! Just from sharing the common interest of wanting to draw our own stories and share them with the world.
JM Henry is one of those individuals, and I’d like to share with you his comic The Lostland:
“It all starts with some dubious info, a misunderstanding, and a well-known incident that sets a chain of events in motion…”The Lostland is the adventures of four travelers unknowingly wrapped up in a chain of events, all leading to one man’s plot to turn the world on it’s head. Action, laughs, and mystery all packed into one Post-Apoc world.
We as a human race love stories; we just never seem to get tired of them!
And, when you combine all the oddness and differences that all people tend to have, it’s no wonder that we never seem to run out of unique stories being written and drawn.
One of the things I love about The Lostland is how JM Henry gives it all a bit of that Wild, Wild West feel. Plus, the unique style is just super lovable! Whatever future projects he may have, I’m sure they will all be very worth following.
