Hello Strangers, Bitsy here!

Creator of Eotera, Luminarion, Maiden in Disguise, and much more.

Welcome to my world

Please stay as long as you’d like until it feels like your world, too

Eotera is a world of science fiction that contains another soft reality of high fantasy within it. First conceived by Bitsy Tandem in some shape or form in 2014, it’s come a long way from simply being mentioned in passing in her first stories.

What if Earth was just . . . a bit different? That is the simple idea behind everything in Eotera. Something that is remarkably familiar, yet also whimsically unique. To be an actual world, filled with real people and complexities that make up life as we know it, is what fuels the numerous stories and tales that come from these realities.

And behind all of that is one mission to make our Earth an even better place:

To prove that stories don’t need to be unnecessarily dark to be incredible, and that it’s possible for us to learn from our mistakes.

Bitsy Tandem

In the beginning there was nothing.

Then, Bitsy Tandem uttered the words:

“I’m going to be a comic creator!”

Fraught with bumps and mishaps along the way, the stories that came about after her bold statement back in 2012 led to three things in particular: a boy wearing headphones, a man named George Teckrin, and a fantastical character called Elrynd Aggronar. What eventually culminated from these inkling concepts was the world of Eotera and the fantasy setting of Luminarion: Legend of Worlds.

For as long as she can remember, Bitsy has always had countless tales and make-believe characters teeming in her imagination and laboriously doodled into her childhood notebooks.

Constantly referred to as a bit of a “space cadet,” her penchant for daydreaming powered a
desire to share her reality with others, even if she was too shy to actually do so. And, to further complicate matters, her artistic abilities were quite dismal at the time of her proclamation. But, she had read too many Japanese manga about spunky protagonists with no talent whatsoever who refused to give up and achieved their dreams. If they could do it, then so could she! And, 10 years later, she likes to think she’s at least made some progress.

Deep within her small bean of a body, Bitsy has more ambition than she knows what to do with, and she truly believes sharing her world with others is a higher calling. She won’t stop until at least a million people have felt the joy of Eotera and its stories, and even then she’s got no plans of slowing down. Besides that, she likes singing and dancing when no one’s watching, exploring the hidden parts of Japan, and eating pizza and ice cream. Separately, of course.

Aaron Tandem (Assistant Bean)

Affectionately referred to as simply “Bean” by his wife, Aaron has been there since the very beginning. As the world of Eotera’s first sounding board, primary critic, and editorial mastermind filled with pedantic rage, he enjoys delving into the depths of Bitsy’s imagination and returning unscathed with cohesive ideas. The way he sees it, she’s the “thought factory,” and he’s the “make-it-make-sense” dude. It’s a partnership that has seemed to work decently well enough so far, and thus he continues to this day.

Always a fan of everything fantasy and sci-fi, Aaron found that the things he sometimes enjoyed reading the most were the encyclopedia-like tomes of auxiliary information that “filled the gaps” of the worlds and stories he loved.

Hours would be spent lost between the covers of lorebooks that delved into the deep histories, places, and minutiae of objects that don’t actually exist. If you were to ask him, the Manual of the Planes from Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition is his preferred coffee table book. Not that he drinks coffee. Or, has a coffee table for that matter.

So, as he found himself doing more and more writing, the thing he naturally took a liking to was the literal universe building stuff. Worlds. Locations. Places. All the things that make a setting feel like it really could exist. Discovering what’s just over that mountain, or what planets lie above that strange horizon. That’s what gets him up in the morning, and it’s what he loves to write about.

But, if he’s not clacking away at his keyboard fleshing out stories, he’s either playing the piano, trying to get better at drawing, or working out because he eats too many Oreos.

Eotera, and everything else it contains, wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for quite a few people who have contributed big, small, and repeatedly, over the years. We would like to thank each and every one of them:
